By Train: To Kiel Central Station | top
From Kiel Central Station to the Department of Psychology / IPN:
On foot: About a 35 to 40 minute walk
By Taxi: A 10 minute drive
By Bus: A 17 to 20 minute drive. Take Route 22 (destination Woltersweg),
or 32 (destination Rungholtplatz), or 82 (destination Botanical Garden)
directly to the stop called "IPN", right in
front of the IPN building.
By Car: See Road map | top
Via the B 404 / B 76 to Kiel:
As soon as you enter the city-limits of Kiel, follow the signs
directing you to the University. After driving on the B 76, you
will end up driving on the
Westring towards the University. Make a right turn into the
Olshausenstr. Soon after, there will be two bridges, first a
pedestrian walk, then some railway tracks. Immediately after the
second bridge, you will find the IPN building on your right-hand
side. Parking space for the Department of Psychology / IPN is
behind the building.
Via Autobahn 215 to Kiel:
Soon after the highway junction "Kiel West" follow the
signs directing you to the University. You will end up driving on
the B 76. From the there on, see above.
By Plane: To Kiel Airport or to Hamburg Airport | top
From Kiel Airport to the Department of Psychology / IPN:
By Taxi: About a 15 minute drive
By Bus: About a 25 minute drive. Take Route 501 or 502 (both with destination
Flintbek), and get off on "Waitzstr./Holtenauerstr." Now take Route 22
(destination Woltersweg) or 32 (destination Rungholtplatz) directly to the stop
called "IPN", right in front of the IPN building.
From Hamburg Airport to the Department of Psychology / IPN:
Because the Hamburg Airport is located in the north of Hamburg, it is
at most times not convenient to first go the city-center, and from there take a train
to Kiel. Instead, take the "Kielius"
bus from Hamburg Airport to Kiel Central Station. It leaves about once an
hour (timetable), and the
ride takes about 90 minutes. For directions from Kiel Central Station to

By Ship: To the Kiel Harbour (Sweden-Quay = Schwedenkai) | top
From the Sweden-Quay to the Department of Psychology / IPN:
On foot: About a 30 to 35 minute walk

By bus from the stop "Berliner Platz" (located within walking distance
from the Sweden-Quai): About a 12 to 15 minute drive. Take Route 22
(destination Woltersweg) or 32 (destination Rungholtzplatz) directly to the stop
called "IPN", right in front of the IPN building.
